About Us

With a poetic that combines classicism and the experimental, Salazar has directed more than twenty works of different genres. Since 2007 he runs his own production company, La Compañía Estable, in Bogotá, in association with some of the main theaters in the city. His main productions include: Macbeth, premiered at Teatro Colón on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Tosca, at Teatro Mayor, as well as Othello, The Shape of Things, Stones in His Pockets, The Pillowman, The Ugly and Life is a dream.

He is the director of the Performing Arts area in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the Universidad de Los Andes. Graduated in Theater Arts from Brown University (1996) and in Physical Theater from the Jacques Lecoq International Theater School (1999), he has specialized in theater directing with an MFA from Columbia University.

For 2022 he is preparing the staging of Peter Grimes at the Amazonas Theater in Manaus, The marriage of Figaro, for the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo and 53 Domingos, by Cesc Gay, for the National Theater.
